Lauren Nelson Celebrant – about me

Lauren Newman 1Jason & Miranda

I love being a Celebrant. I love celebrating love!

I was recently married myself so I have fresh ideas to share!

To be involved with people during such exciting and momentous times in their lives is a real privilege, celebrating the joy in life, and it’s why I chose “Joy in Life” as my Celebrant business name.  I am a “people person” which is why every ceremony I have conducted has been such a success.

I invest a lot of myself into creating truly personalised ceremonies.

I started my working life as a nurse in Sydney and then moved on to customer service roles and finally many years as a public servant in Canberra.

I love working with, and helping others, so being a celebrant is my perfect “job”.

I believe I bring with me all the best aspects of my previous careers, from caring and understanding, to public speaking and presentation skills, as well as the training I received from the Academy of Celebrancy while obtaining my Certificate IV in Celebrancy.

Besides being a professional and a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants, as well as the Australian Marriage Celebrants, I am a well-presented, warm, happy, empathetic and understanding person.

For your wedding, vow renewal, commitment ceremony, I will provide a happy and relaxed ceremony created just for you.

I have a pleasant and clear speaking voice and will use a PA system to ensure your ceremony is audible to all.

I provide a signing table and chairs for the Marriage Register, decorated with pretty flowers and candles (or you can have whatever you choose).

You can contact me by either:
Mobile: 0400-102-992

If I can not take your call at that time, please leave me a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.

After my very first marriage ceremony, the groom said to me:
“Thank you, it was everything I hoped it would be”.

Let me make your ceremony everything you hope it will be!
I look forward to meeting you.

Celebrating the joy in life that is, will be, and was.
